I believe in San Francisco, a recent ballot/vote for whether the city should offer free wireless service within the city limits. What are your opinions on this move? For me, I'm for it... will be great if it were true for any city or international airport.

Just city limits? I would open it up beyond current geographic limits. The only constraint should be technology, not regulatory. Grow competition with the cellular providers even by providing VoIP services like Skype. Keep the competitive landscape open!
